Summer is almost here and I'm so excited to start showing a little leg. I'm a sucker for an adorable, flouncy skirt. Oh...and it has a bow?! How many colors does it come in and can I have them all?! This button up linen number is the cutest thing to hit my summer wardrobe yet, and if I have my way (stop with all the wind, Chicago) I'll wear it everyday.

I snagged up this cutie skirt when it was on sale for only $20 and am keeping my fingers crossed for more colors to arrive soon. Plus I'm convinced that the sign of a good purchase was when I brought it home to show my boyfriend....and without even trying it on....he said "oh, that's the perfect skirt for summer!" I know, I know.... #boyfriendgoals, right? But part of what makes it so great is the lightweight linen feeling of the skirt. It's light enough to be comfortable and breathe during those warm (and sticky Chicago) months, but it's fully lined and heavy enough that it's not going to go flying up with the first breeze (a major issue in Chicago).
A lightweight linen skirt could only be paired with something as equally lightweight and fun. I absolutely love the halter-esc cut of this denim tank. I like that it has the lightweight feel of a chambray, but is in a darker denim tone. It tucks so perfectly into a high waisted skirt, but it's long enough that I'll be able to rock it with some cute patterned shorts or some white skinny jeans.
Of course, this outfit wouldn't be complete without the right caged block heels to give it that perfectly summer vibe. These shoes are long past sold out because they are a couple of seasons old, but luckily you can't turn the corner anymore without running into about 50 shoes that look like them. Caged shoes are huge right now and so are blocked heels. Just swing by any Nordstrom and you will find sooooo many to choose from in a variety of price points.
So let's twirl our flouncy skirts into summer, okay? Who is with me?!
