I love a party dress just as much as the next girl...well...maybe more than the next girl, but sometimes I just want to rock a comfy casual look. With it starting to get a little warmer outside, I've been trying to get back into the habit of walking almost everywhere I go, whether that's to go grocery shopping, to the post office, or what have you...I want to be comfortable when I'm out running (or I guess I should say walking) my errands. But that doesn't mean I want to sacrifice style! So today I'm sharing with all of you darlings my go-to comfy and casual style look. Read on for more.
Elevating your casual style is all about the kicks. You can walk around all day getting things done while still looking chic with the right pair of sneakers. I tend to opt less for the traditional Nike type shoes and instead go for the cute solid and patterned color lace-ups that are more Keds. These bold pink ones are perfect for the spring and summer months -- always making my look extra happy and playful!
Another way to keep your casual style looking chic is with the right pair of distressed skinnies. Skinnies keep the look chic and elevated while the distressed part makes it look more casual and street style. Plus distressed skinnies are really great to dress up or down, so I certainly recommend investing it a really well fitting pair. I'm really picky when it comes to my jeans, and I pretty much only buy Joe's Jeans. They seem to be the only ones that really fit me perfectly!
And finally, I keep this look cozy and chic with a playful graphic sweatshirt. I'm absolutely in love with this pink and cream color blocked one. It's beyond incredibly cozy, but the playful color and pattern elevate it to a chic level (ps...something similar might be finding its way to my online store soon). I tied the look together with a little nod to the color pink, coordinating my shoes in a similar shade. Another route would have been a sneaker with a playful print like floral or a polka dot!
