I love a good black and white look! They are so chic! Besides, my hair is it's own "pop color" for every look, haha. The only downside of black and white looks is that sometimes they can be a little boring (wah wah). And who wants that?! Not me! I wasn't made for boring!
I decided to spice up a traditional black and white look by adding in all sorts of pattern play.
This grid dress was on major sale at Urban Outfitters for $7 this summer. I've linked some similar ones below. Unfortunately, the dress was so crazy short on me that I had to wait until it was cold enough to wear tights or else everyone would be able see my goodies, haha.
Gee, I wonder why it was on sale...
I just found this AMAZING houndstooth blazer at H&M this weekend for $15. WHAT?? They have some incredibly cute stuff marked down right now. I suggest swinging by and seeing what you can't snag up for a good bargain; especially just in time for Christmas.
I just knew that this grid pattern and houndstooth pattern were meant for each other. The black and white color combination keeps things toned down, while the pattern mixing does all of the talking. When mixing patterns, I suggest either keeping it neutral with a black and white or going completely over the top with loud, bold colors. Nobody wants a wishy-washy pattern mix!
How amazing is this gem bracelet from SeeSongDesigns? It's not available in her online shop, but you can swing by our popup shop inside of Block37 and snag one up for yourself! We have lots of her gems inside of our popup.
