NYE: 60s Mod Style

I'm a sucker for a good shift dress, so when I found this beaded vintage inspired shift from Ella Moss on sale over at the Gilt Warehouse sale on major major discount...I knew it had to be mine. I love the 60s mod vibe of the dress. I feel like I walked right out of a Mad Men cocktail party from one of the later seasons, and I love it!

I love the long billow sleeves and vertical beading. The gold accent beading makes this dress the perfect one for NYE. It's a mod spin on the tight sequin dresses that seems to be on every girl at every NYE party these days. Keeping with the mod theme, I went with some simple Mary Jane style black heels, a simple long tassel necklace, and a mini braided half up hair do.
I mean... I could totally date Don Draper in this look, right?

Even though this dress isn't available online anymore (although you can snag the exact design on eBay), I linked so many similar ones below. That's the amazing thing about a shift dress... they are everywhere. It's such a classic silhouette that looks good on everyone that you can always find good options and similar styles!
