Every now and then during fall, you have a day that requires a little extra layers for warmth...but isn't so cold that you need a sweater or jacket. When those days occur, I like to add a long vest for a little bit of extra coverage. We've been having some slightly warmer days here in Chicago (meaning no blanket scarves...so sad!), but I wanted to still put an outfit together that still read fall.
The booties and berry lip help bring the look into an edgy fall style.
I absolutely love the way this long vest flows in the wind. It's perfect for those slightly windy fall days and adds an element of drama to the overall look. One of the things I love most about this look is that it would easily transition from day to night. I can run errands and go to meetings during the day in this, meet a friend for a cocktail, and head to a nicer dinner or event in the evening (simply by changing my clunky booties to more elegant heels). This dress and vest are both so incredibly versatile, and will easily mix and match with other items throughout the fall season.
I can't wait to wear them with other pieces!
I love how absolutely long this vest is, and it ties into a bow in the back. I do have the option of
untie-ing it and wrapping the straps around my waist.
The little geometric details of this dress are what make this dress really pop for me! I love all of the playful different patterns altogether contrasting and complimenting each other.
