Style Session: Burgundy Sweater and an Oversized Vest

Chilly days have been upon us lately here in Chicago. That means is time for layers! And you know how much I love a good layering piece (duh, it's a lot). For this outfit, I wanted to add several basics together to create a cozy, relaxed and chic fall look.
This neutral/beige knit vest is one of my favorite fall pieces. It's lightweight, but the material is so thick that it keeps me plenty warm during those slightly chilly fall days. The color is so beautiful and versatile, that I'm able to mix and match it with several different pieces.

I wanted to pair the vest with some darker tones such as this deep burgundy sweater and my black skinny jeans and booties. This way the vest is the lightest color and really pops.
Oh! and the vest can be worn multiple ways! The neck/cowl area can drape down around the shoulders; allowing the vest to become a shawl instead for extra warmth around the shoulders and arms. It's perfect for when it's a little chillier. I love a good multi-functional piece!
Seriously, this vest is so comfortable. I can already tell it's going to be one of those things that I wear over and over again while it's chilly to keep myself warm, comfortable, and stylish all at the same time.
